How to go to Kas?
You can get to Kaş by minibus from Fethiye (2 hours) or Antalya (4 hours) which has direct connections from many cities in Turkey. Bus companies Kamil Koç, Metro and Pamukkale serve Kaş as well with direct night buses to Ankara, Istanbul and İzmir.
Kas is halfway between Dalaman Airport (180 km) and Antalya Airport (192 km). There are various ways to get to Kas from these airports. The easiest way, and the most expensive, is by taxi. You can hire a taxi in the airport (generally more expensive - should be fixed price of 290 TL), or you can book a transfer from the hotel where you will be staying or from a local travel agency in Kaş (around 200 TL). You can take a bus (dolmuş) from either Fethiye or Antalya, however they stop in every small village along the way which takes more time.
D400 highway links Kas with north (Marmaris, and onward to Muğla and Southern Aegean) and east (Antalya), along the Lycian coastline. However, from Antalya, there is also a mountain road (numbered D350—and E87 for part of its route) which is in a good condition via Korkuteli and also has a branch going north to Denizli. D350 significantly has shorter route than the coastal D400.
